process (mini cube)
I start with recycled sterling silver wire, which I straighten, and cut to precise lengths ready to be soldered!
From 12 segments in a pile, to 2 tiny squares, to 1 perfect little cube.
It just takes 16 solders and 3 hours.
Once I finish all the corners, it goes into the pickle.
Pickle is an acid bath which removes firescale.
Here’s how it looks afterwards:
Then I file the corners and fill in gaps in the solder joints.
Finally they go into the tumbler with stainless steel shot and are shined to perfection.
Ready to be worn by you for many years to come!
